ABOUT
Brilliant Community Activations & Moments is the home of Marvellous Miss Mary, Zippity Zac and the Happy Helpers — creating vibrant family experiences, community arts projects and participatory activations across Australia.
Mary-Clare Baker -Marvellous Miss Mary- is an award-winning visual artist, children’s entertainer and creative producer who specialises in designing memorable experiences for children, families and communities.
With 25+ of creative practice, Mary-Clare brings together art, performance, play, education and community engagement to create experiences that feel thoughtful, exciting and genuinely special. From large-scale festival Kids Zones and interactive workshops to community arts projects, performances and bespoke family activations, she designs every experience with one goal in mind — making children feel like the event was created for them.
Mary-Clare has delivered family experiences at major festivals and events across Australia, including the Tamworth Country Music Festival, Parkes Elvis Festival, Mount Isa Mines Rodeo, Cooktown Discovery Festival, Australian Festival of the Outback and Federation Square Christmas, as well as projects for councils, government programs and community organisations.
What makes Mary-Clare different is the level of imagination and care behind every activation. She doesn’t simply provide activities — she creates complete environments where families can make, play, explore, perform, connect and belong.
Whether she is painting faces, leading hundreds of children through a collaborative artwork, experimenting with giant bubbles or designing an entire Kids Zone from the ground up, Mary-Clare combines professional event delivery with the warmth, silliness and creativity children know as Marvellous Miss Mary.
Zac Dawson -Zippity Zac- is a children’s performer, musician and science facilitator who brings energy, curiosity and humour to every Marvellous Kids experience.
From interactive music and live performances to hands-on science, bubble experiments and playful demonstrations, Zac has a natural ability to make learning feel exciting and accessible. Alongside Marvellous Miss Mary, he helps create experiences where children can play, discover, experiment and get involved.

This work is about more than putting on creative fun zone. It is about using creativity to help people connect, participate, tell stories, reflect, and build confidence, feeling part of their community.
What We Believe
We believe where a family lives or how much they earn should never determine the quality of creative and community experiences available to them.
Our goal is to create spaces where:
-
children feel welcomed and included,
-
parents and carers can relax and participate,
-
different generations can connect,
-
regional communities feel seen and valued,
-
and families leave with a genuine shared memory.
We will continue bringing high-quality creative experiences to metropolitan, regional, rural and remote communities across Australia.
Our Dream
Our dream is to build a national network of Marvellous Kids Zones, Outback Kids Zones, community arts projects, intergenerational programs, storybook experiences, music workshops, bubble science experiences and creative projects that give families something meaningful to be part of and provide communities a way to voice their creativity.
We seek for all councils, festivals, sponsors and communities to be able to bring us in and know the family experience is looked after.
